June 2, 2007 - San Antonio Conference held it's first
Conference Breakfast. There were 6 different churches
represented and the groundwork was laid to hold this
gathering of men quarterly. The main topics covered
were the swing project, Century Club and how to get
other men's groups involved. The next breakfast will be
held at Immanuel in La Vernia in September.
June 9, 2007 - It was disclosed at the Synod LMM Board
Meeting that we now have 55 people who have given $100
gifts to the Century Club. The ministry of feeding hungry
children is catching on and the numbers are growing weekly.

First Charlie Schwartz Lutheran Laymen of the Year Award Recipient

Doug Haugen (left) presents the 1st ever Charlie Schwartz Lutheran Man of
The Year Award to Dennis Sagebiel, member of Emmanuel's Lutheran Church
in Seguin at the annual men's assembly held Feb 16, 2008 at Zion Lutheran
Church in Fredericksburg. The award was named in memory of Charlie
Schwartz a leader in the Lutheran Men in Mission of the Southwestern Texas
and a past Secretary and President of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in
America Lutheran Men in Mission.
